Namco Bandai Entertainment, Inc. has released a video introducing new characters and a new battle system for "Tekken 8" for PS5/Xbox Series X|S/Steam.

The 3D fighting game "Tekken 8" challenges the limits of next-generation hardware with high-resolution modeling of playable characters and expression of muscle movement. Scenes of stages being destroyed and dynamic splashes of waves give the battle stages a sense of gravity and make them more immersive.

The battle concept is "aggressive!
The concept of "Tekken 8" was designed with the keyword "aggressive" in mind, so that everyone who plays and watches the game can experience the most thrilling and exciting experience in the series. One of the elements that allows players to experience this is the new "Heat System.
In addition, the new "recoverable gauge" and changes to the "rage system" will also be introduced.

Introducing the new "Special Style," an action game-like control system designed for casual play.
Tekken 8 introduces "Special Style" in addition to the conventional "Arcade Style," which is operated by inputting commands. Beginners of the Tekken series and those who are not good at complicated controls can activate the "heat system" and unique "combos" by intuitive operation of entering specific buttons on the controller.

The "Special Style" can be called up at the touch of a button, allowing the user to switch control styles at any time during normal battles.

Closed Alpha Test
A location test will be held at EVO Japan 2023 (Tokyo Big Sight) from March 31 to April 2, 2023, for the purpose of formulating battle system adjustment policies. Starting with this test, similar tests are scheduled to be conducted at several events around the world.

CAT testers for EVO Japan 2023 will be recruited from late February on a special page. Details will be announced later on the official Tekken Twitter and website.
