DX King Auger" & "DX God Kabuto" Review] Action toy face to face! The "King Ojer" robot toys have amazing mobility and proportions!

The 47th Super Sentai "Ousama Sentai King Oger" is very interesting! Combining the royal elements of a very Sentai hero-like visual style and the insect motif popular with children, with challenging elements such as a fantastic worldview, stylish action, and an unpredictable story, this film is truly a renaissance of Super Sentai!

And the "King Auger" that bears the title is not the name of a squadron team, but the name of a robot. In other words, the main character of this work is the robot, the flower of Super Sentai! From the very first episode, the robot has been moving around and showing us cool battle scenes.

The fact that the toys went on sale at the same time as the broadcast of the series shows how much effort was put into the series. In the third episode, King Kabuto appeared, followed by the appearance of a new Shugod called God Scorpion. It seems that new Shugods will appear one after another in the future, and the anticipation continues to grow.

So, here are the reviews of "DX King Auger" and "DX God Kabuto," both of which are currently on sale from Bandai.

Please feel the new era of Super Sentai robots!

The 10 Shugods that make up King Ojah

King Ojah is a guardian god of the earth that is completed when 10 insect-shaped mecha "Shugods" combine. In other words, it is the first robot in the history of Super Sentai to combine the most number of Shugods, with 10 of them suddenly merging together.

Let me introduce the Shugods in order.

First, let's start with the Shugods that give the Ousama squadron power when they ride in and arm themselves with Ougai armors!

Shugod Stag Beetle

The brave guardian gods of the "Shugoddam" kingdom, these Shugods possess the characteristics of stag beetles and fight alongside the Stag Beetle Ojah. He is the core Shugod of the King Ojah and is the central figure in the setting.

It is quite large and quite satisfying as a stand-alone insect mecha toy.

The large jaws can be opened and closed.

The wings can also be deployed to combine with the gimmick of the combined form. The God Stag Beetle alone is a great way to play with boondoggles!

God Dragonfly

Shugod, which fights alongside the dragonfly ogre, possesses the characteristics of a dragonfly. The guardian god of the "Nkosopa" kingdom, he fights enemies with blinding speed.

The wings made of clear material are truly realistic! The dragonfly feeling is unbelievable.

The head and wings dock onto the half face of the King Ojah. The tail becomes the blade of King Ojah's weapon, Shugod Sword.

The wings can be raised about 90° upward.

God mantis

A Shugod with the characteristics of a praying mantis that fights alongside the Mantis Riojah. Always poised in a crisp posture, he is the guardian god of the "Ishabana" country, fighting with the grace of a flower.

It transforms and merges with the right leg of King Ojer. At a quick glance, it is hard to believe that this is a leg, but it is a magnificent mantis.

From behind.

The face and hands are connected with ball joints. Like this, you can recreate the realistic mantis gesture of grooming a sickle.

God Bee

Shugod, which has the characteristics of a bee, fights alongside Hachioji. He is the guardian god of the country of "Toufu," fighting at breakneck speed while outwitting his opponents. It transforms and becomes the left leg of King Ojer.

Angle from behind. Like the God Mantis, this is a magnificent bee mechanism that is hard to believe that it transforms to become a leg.

The wings are connected with ball joints. The degree of freedom of movement is quite high.

God Papillon

Fighting together with Papillon Ojer, Shugod inhabits the characteristics of a butterfly. The guardian god of the "Gokkan" country, she fights coolly despite long hours of activity in sub-zero temperatures. It is characterized by its purple wings.

King Ojer's head and the handle of his weapon, Shugod Sword, separate and dock together.

The legs and body part separate to become the head of King Ojah.

From here, we introduce Shugod, which fights alongside the King's warriors!

Shugod Spider

A Shugod that possesses the characteristics of a spider. There are two Shugods of the same type and different colors. They act as support mechanisms to stop the movement of the enemy.

The left and right legs can only move up and down.

God Tentou

This shugod inhabits the characteristics of a ladybug and fights alongside the King Squadron. It is said to have the ability to store energy, and serves as an energy supply when the king ogre combines with the king ogre.

From behind. No moving parts. This is a fixed model.

God Ant

A Shugod that fights alongside the King Squadron and possesses the characteristics of ants. It has specialized performance in combat, jumping on and biting its enemies.

Later. This is a nonmovable fixed model. When combined with King Oger, it docks to the Shugod Sword.

Chikyuu's guardian deity, King Ojah is completed!

Now let's quickly combine them!

Bend the body of the God Stag 90° and dock the God Mantis and God Bee to the part that will be the lower limbs of the King Ojah. The legs are completed.

Next, transform the back legs of the god stag beetle into the arms of the king ogre, and dock the god tentacles to both arms.

After splitting the God Papillon: ......

Dock the head parts to God Stag. The God's face will appear.

Split the god dragonfly by the body and the tail.

Dock the head and wing parts to the god stag beetle. The wings of the king ogre will be the wings of the king ogre.

Dock the god spider to the chest and waist. This completes the main body of King Auger.

Finally, docking the God Dragonfly, God Papillon, and God Ant, the Shugod Sword of weapons is completed!

King Ojah!

It's so cool!

This is what it looks like from the front. The model's arms and legs are long and slender, and the head is small! The entire figure is studded with insect motifs, giving it a wonderful, unified design.

Also seen from the side: ......

It is still cool! I really like the cohesiveness of the two shuggoths as legs. Even though they have completely different transformation gimmicks, they have matching silhouettes.

The back. The wings of the stag beetle look like rear armor. And the God Dragonfly's huge wings are particularly impressive. Their size and the beauty of the clear parts are wonderful.

Then let's check the movable parts.

The neck is connected with a ball joint. The chin can be raised and lowered as well as rotated horizontally. Various facial expressions are possible.

Arms can be freely moved! Can be raised 90 degrees horizontally or swung straight up.

Joint axes and roll axes are provided at the connection points of the shoulder parts and the second arm. The elbows also have joint axes, so the arms are quite movable. The wrists can also roll and rotate.

The waist can also be twisted.

Left and right leg openings are possible up to this point.

The roll axis on the thighs makes poses like this possible.

The knees are also movable about 90 degrees. This is really a review of Sentai Robo. ...... The movement is so smooth that you would think it was a Sentai Robo review. And yet, there are clicks in the joints, so you don't have to worry about the joints going bad. It's a little amazing.

Let's try a few poses.

Shugod Sword in a pose! The excellent mobility of this figure allows it to be freely posed with a sword in its hand.

You can pose her just like an action figure, and you can click to lock the pose in place. In addition, it can transform into a combined figure! It is an extraordinary robot! As expected of the king!

Combined with the DX God Kabuto, the Kabuto King Ojah is complete!

In addition to the 10 Shugods introduced so far, "DX King Ojah" can combine with various additional Shugods. The power of the "DX King Ojah" is constantly being increased.

The first of these additional Shugods is the "DX God Kabuto," which was sold as part of the "DX King Auger God Kabuto Set" released at the start of the program's broadcast, and was finally released as a standalone product the other day.

God Beetle, based on the motif of the king of insects, the beetle, is a mecha with a black molding color and gold-plated parts that give it a luxurious feel.

When the smaller horns are moved, the larger horns move in tandem.

The wings can be opened and closed, making the DX God Kabuto stand-alone with outstanding play value!

But this is where DX God Kabuto really comes into its own. It can be docked with King Ojah!

God Kabuto is quite large! Now, let's combine them from here.

The God Kabuto's body is expanded to a large size, and a long gun barrel is completed.

Next, remove the Shugod Sword and the God Tentou on the right arm.

The removed God Tentou is docked to God Kabuto to complete the Kabuto Cannon!

Dock it to the right arm of King Ojah, and the Kabuto King Ojah is complete!

Looking at it from the side and from above, you can clearly see the size and length of the Kabuto Cannon. Robot x long object is the romance of robot lovers!

The pose of the robot is well suited to the waist!

King Ojah's click joints are excellent, and even with such a long Kabuto Cannon attached, his right arm does not sag. It holds the arm firmly, so you can pose it with confidence.

The firing pose seen from the back. It really looks good.

In the fourth episode, when they first combined, they used the Shugod Sword as a monopot (support) to fire the cannon. This is also cool.

However, it is not followed as a toy gimmick, so the Shugod Sword is just propped up on the cannon barrel. If you are going to display it in this state, you might want to secure it in some way.

So that was my review of the latest Super Sentai Robots, DX King Auger and DX God Kabuto.

Last year's "DX Don Onitaijin" was a revolutionary child of Super Sentai robots in terms of mobility and proportions, and this "DX King Auger" is a further evolution of that, and can truly be called the cutting edge of robot toys.

The new "DX King Auger" is the latest in robot toys, and it is no exaggeration to say that it has evolved even further from its predecessors. The design is unified with insect motifs, and there are many highlights. In addition, we can't help but look forward to seeing how much the volume will increase as new Schgotdos will appear one after another and combine with each other!

If you haven't gotten it yet, please take this opportunity to get it and play around with it!
