The iOS/Android application "Fate/Grand Order" (hereinafter referred to as "FGO") is a popular RPG for smartphones that takes place in a world where the future has been lost and players, now masters, travel back in time with Servants, or Heroic Spirits, to confront human history in order to protect mankind. The game was released in July 2015 and has been downloaded more than 16 million times in Japan (as of April 2019). With a TV anime set to air in 2019 and a film version of the anime to be released in 2020, the game has been gaining momentum.
