Gundam Model Kits EXPO World Tour Japan 2014" opened in Akihabara, Tokyo!　PG Unicorn, MG Double-X, HGUC Assault Buster, RG Wing Unit, and more!

Gunpla EXPO World Tour Japan 2014, a Gunpla festival, opened on November 21 in Akihabara. The event will run until the 24th.

This is a comprehensive Gunpla event consisting of sample exhibits including new and unreleased Gundam models, coloring exhibits by celebrities, production demonstrations by Bandai's plastic model developers, booth exhibits focusing on Gunpla making, and sales of event-only products. This is the fourth year for this comprehensive Gunpla event. This year marks the fourth time the event has been held.

The theme of this year's event is "Gunpla Future Laboratory. Aiming at the 35th anniversary of Gundam Model Kits coming up next year, a powerful visual display with an image of the future is being developed. Also on display for the first time are new items centering on MS that will appear in the two TV anime series "Gundam G Reconguista" and "Gundam Build Fighters Try," both of which will start in October. Following last year, modified Gundam model kits are attracting attention due to the influence of "Gundam Build Fighters.

The final judging of the fourth annual "Gunpla Builders World Cup 2014," a competition to determine the best Gunpla builder in the world, was also held in conjunction with the final judging of the Japanese competition. All the works that made it to the final judging will be on display, and the Japanese representatives will be chosen by public votes by visitors and judges. On the final day of the event, the results will be announced and an awards ceremony will be held.

Hours are from 10:00 to 20:00 (until 18:00 on the 23rd and 17:00 on the 24th). Admission is free.
