As the first initiative of this collaboration, students from Tokyo University of Information Sciences will be appointed as mentors for the 4th "CR Fortnite CAMP" held jointly with the popular professional gaming team "Crazy Raccoon".

CR Fortnite CAMP" is a popular program for elementary, junior high, and high school students to experience professional esports gaming, and has achieved 100% participant satisfaction from the first to the third sessions. In addition to providing practical guidance to improve gaming skills, the program also fosters logical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills through interactions with students of the same generation. The program also provides opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of esports and various careers in the gaming industry through interaction with a variety of role models active in the industry.

The student mentors from Tokyo University of Information Science and Technology, who will be appointed as part of this new initiative, will use their expertise in informatics and esports to work closely with the interests and challenges of each participant, while working with coaches to create an individualized and optimized learning environment. In addition to providing psychological reassurance as a dependable presence close in age, the mentors will also serve as familiar role models for the participants who can see themselves in a few years' time, giving them an opportunity to aspire to the future and set specific goals.

Through this collaboration, Game & Co. and Tokyo University of Information Sciences will maximize the educational potential of esports and contribute to the development of the next generation of digital human resources.

Comment from Professor McKinney Kenneth James, Co-Creation Lab, Tokyo University of Information Sciences

Tokyo University of Information Sciences offers a wide range of information studies from programming, networking, media to business, and is actively researching cutting-edge information application fields that have not yet been established as research fields. One such field is esports. Tokyo University of Information Sciences has established the "eSports Research Lab" to conduct research on esports from a variety of perspectives. For example, we are developing a system that uses AI to provide sound transmission of video game screens to the visually impaired, using data science to derive effective team strategies for esports, and applying esports to STEAM education. Starting with our cooperation with CR Fortnite CAMP, we will work together with Game & Co. to create new educational value in esports that has never been seen before and contribute to society.

Comment from Atsutoshi Kubo, Director of Game & Co.

It has been several years since the word "esports" began to spread around the world, and the esports culture continues to grow. We aim to expand the esports scene through the involvement of as many people as possible in their own ways, and to enrich the lives of as many people as possible through the common language of esports. Game & Co., Inc. is working on various esports projects under the vision "For esports 100 years from now".
We are pleased to welcome Tokyo University of Information Sciences as student mentors to "CR Fortnite CAMP" and will hold this event together with them. We hope that this will be a learning experience for both the participants and the student mentors. We will continue to work together with Tokyo University of Information Sciences to develop the next generation of digital educators for the future of esports.
