Brave group forms capital and business alliance with South Korean IT giant Kakao

("Brave group") announces that it has entered into a capital and business alliance with Kakao Corporation ("Kakao") through Kakao Investment (Head office: Seongnam City, South Korea; Representative Director: Do Young Kim), an investment subsidiary of Kakao Corp. ("Kakao"), a leading South Korean IT company, through Kakao Investment (Head office: Seongnam City, South Korea; Representative Director: Do Young Kim).

Purpose and Background

Brave group has the mission to "break through the hearts of 8 billion people" with the goal of "bringing the Japanese spirit of adventure to the world" and is developing multiple businesses in the areas of IP Production (VTuber business), IP Platform and IP Solution, which are highly compatible with the VTuber business, in Japan and overseas. Kakao is the largest communication platform in South Korea.

Kakao has developed a number of entertainment platforms, including KakaoTalk, the largest communication platform in South Korea, KakaoPages, a webtoon, and Melon, a music streaming service.

Through this alliance, Brave group's business development capabilities and operational know-how in the IP peripheral domain and Kakao's extensive business knowledge and network in the Korean market will be combined to accelerate the expansion of both companies' platform businesses and other businesses into the global market.
